AUCKLAND HIGHLAND RIFLES

AUCKLAND, Dec. 7
At a meeting field to-night a new volunteer company, to be called the Auckland Highland Rifles, was formed. The meeting was most enthusiastic.. and the enrolled strength is now given as 54. It was stated during the meeting that no difficulty would he experienced in raising a sufficient guarantee to cover the cost of providing the corps with an appropriate killed uniform.
