WEALTHY GERMAN KIDNAPPED RESCUED BY POLICE. United Press Association. Copyright ST. PETERSBURG, Dec. 4. Brigands kidnapped Herman Neufdel, a wealthy German resident of Holbstadt, Caucasus. They conveyed him to the village of Petrovsli. They refused £2OOO ransom, and demanded double the amount. Mounted police, with a couple of machine guns, bombarded and killed the ringleaders. Neufeld, throwing himself to the ground, was not injured, and was rescued.
