AERENTHAL’S POSITION SHAKEN.
Circumstantial reports have reached Berlin and St. Petersburg that Baron Aerenthal’s position has been severely shaken, partly owing to the disastrous effects of the boycott, and partly owing to European disapproval of liis ptdicy.

AUSTRIA AND TURKEY. -X ’• IMPROVED RELATIONS. CONSTANTINOPLE, Dec. 3. Satisfaction is expressed at the Porte’s correct attitude regarding the Customs porters, as their actions had proved effective in suppressing the boycott at the principal seaports. Austria is willing to negotiate regarding compensation for the annexation of the occupied provinces.

France desires Sir Edward Fry to he one of the arbitrators in the Casablanca dispute. [The Right Hon. Sir Edward Fry is an ex-Lord Justice of Appeal, and was
first British Plenipotentiary to the ..Hague Peace Conference in 1907. He jis a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at the Hague. He is 81 years of age.]
