CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 2
Mr. Justice DennLston, in Banco, to-day beard argument on a motion for a writ of prohibition arising out of the conviction of G. Bankin, bookfor selling “Anna Lombard," ;i book alleged to be of an immoral character. His Honor held that the defendant should have been given the right of saying whether lie wished to lie tried hy a jury.,, and he quashed the conviction.
