POVJiKTY BAY CLUB
The races for Mr. C. Morse’s trophies were continued last night, when three further heats were got off. T. Sheen and P. Grogan (4sec )beat F. Seymour and W. Lowe (lOsec) by a quarter of a. length after a good race, during which "there was not much difference between the crews. An excellent race was, witnessed when T. Parker and J. O'Neill (lOsec) met R. Wilkinson and L. Nicolas (3sec). After going a short distance Wilkinson caught his opponent and passed, but Parker rowed a plucky race, and eventually again regained the lead, and won by half .a length. The last race of the evening was between A. Pritchard and J. McKenzie (6sec) and B. Lowe and IV. Wilkinson (2sec), and it resulted in a win for the former by the narrow margin of two feet after a rattling finish. The races will be continued tins evening, when the first round! will be concluded.
