The secretary of the - Whatatutu Racing Club lias received tlie following nominations for their annual races to be held on Boxing Day:— Whatatutu Cup: Flo, Moss Rose, Spike Island, Rossina, Airi’ki, Kaikure, Keeps, Glenrose. POVERTY BAY CLUB. A meeting of the committee of the Poverty Bay Turf Club was held on Saturday afternoon. A rough balancesheet of the last spring meeting was submitted, showing an estimated profit of £690. A letter was received from the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club to the effect that it refused to uphold tho disqualification passed on the jockey B. Deeley. The matter was discussed at length, and it was decided to appeal to the Racing Conference. The Committeo decided to erect an outside stand, to be completed in time for the meeting in February next. It was resolved to rail off a portion of the main stand for the use of members only. The secretary, Mr. D. R. DeCosta was granted a bonus of £25.

TE NGAWIEI CLUB. Nominations close at Mr. Fitzell’s saddlery, Whatatutu, on Saturday next, for the Hurdles, Ngariki Clip, •and Oputu Flying Handicap in connection with tho Te Ngawiri Racing Club’s meeting.

There was a large crowd and perfect weather for tlie Feilding races to-day. Thirty-six bookmakers were licensed,' and paid £390 in fees. The folohving were tho results:— Flying Stakes.—Golden Eagle 7.9, 1, Muskerry 8.0 2, Ballarat 8.2 3. Also started: Rangipapa, Lothair, Toa Tulii, Sir Artegal, Voetgang, Andrew Mack,' and Catapult. There was a bad start. Catapult. Andrew Mack and Sir Artegal being left at the post. Won by a length and a half after a good race between the placed horses. Time, Tmin 14 l-ssec. Aorangj Hack Welter.—Shuja 8.9 ,1, Ecologue 8.0 2, Coy 8.0 3. Won by a length. Also started: Rangihaeta, Buoyant, Aovangi, Nightmare, Separator, Strategist, Dnil, Maidi, Finesseur, Marntoa, and Reumac. St. Andrew’s Handicap.—HusbajuSß man 8.0 1, The Lark 8.3 2, Moral 8.13] 3. Spring Hurdles.—Oryx 9.13 1, Don Carlos 9.0 2, Maboe 10.6 3. A good race. Don Carlos came out at the end of the first mile, and led all the way, and was two lengths ahead entering the straight,, where Oryx and Mahoe drew up, and the latter just won by a short half-head on the post, the third horse half a length away. Time, 3min 59 l-ssee. Also started: Lyrist, Gold Dust, Paparaehi, and Defeat.

Waitahuna Hack Hurdles.—Stayhoy 10.8 1, Moose 9.0 2, Xavier 10.6 3. Won easily. Moose led most of the way, and then fell back. Time, ‘2min oOsoc.
