GISBORNE CLUB
Ideal weather prevailed on Saturday, when the Gisborne Lawn Tennis Ciub formally opened its 1908-9' season. There was a large attendance of members and friends, and among the visitors , were several members of the Whataupoko Club. A number of improvements have been made sincelast season, including the erection of a handsome pavilion, and these materially conduce to the comfort, and convenience of members. The lawns were in first-class order, and a number of enjoyable sets were played. Delicious afternoon tea was provided by the lady members.
