THE NEW ALPINE MINE

The New Alpine Mine manager^reports for the week ending 3rd November as follows: —“The chamber of the new level, No. 14. has been completed, 'and a good start made to cross-cut for the reef. 9he country rock remain's 'unchanged. Unless much water is struck iu the new level the same can probably be dead with by bailing. In conjunction with the catchment of No. 12 level the survey will be carried on front No. 12 to No. 14 levels for the reef north of the winze as soon as there is room enough in the cross-cut. All the works are well forward, ami the machinery is now in good order."
