ALL NATIONS’ FAIR.
CLOSING DAY
Last evening the All Nations’ Fair which has been in progress in the Garrison Hall in Fitzherbert Street, in aid of tho Church of England funds, was broimt to a termination. Business throughout tlio day was very brisk, - and practically all the goods found purchasers. During the evening Mrs.>T. H. Wood repeated the children*? entertainment, and the Maori* students from Te Ilau College again earned loud applause for their Irakis, and poi and spear dances. The Carnivaf altogether has been a most successful affair, and will result in u satisfactory amount being placed to the credit of the building fund. .Great credit as duo to ilio committee for .their fine organisation, and to tho stall-holders for the energies they displayed in first preparing and subsequently disposing of their choice goods, and to the vicar (Rev. L. Dawson Thomas) and the hard-work-ing secretary (Mr. W. LI. Powell) is also due much praise for their strenuous efforts towards making the Carnival so successful.
