Public opinion in Russia believes that the chances oi a conference of the Powers meeting are rapidly disappearing. There arc also numerous indications that Russia will not accept the annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a fait accompli.
The Servian Crown Prince is much satisfied with his conversation with the- Czar at Peterhof. THE SERVIAN DEMANDS. AN EXTENSION OF FRONTIER. Milovanovitch informed Sir Edward Grey that Setrvia asked, as compensation, -a- frontier along the river Drina from the point where it leaves the present Servian frontier until it reaches the country north of Montenegro, thence the frontier should follow the watershed to the Montienegrin boundary. Although Vienna telegrams .report that no conference will be lioTd, because Russia refuses to sanction the. annexation, Russian, official news states that M. Isvolsky’s negotiations with Austria are pursuing their normal course.
SERVIAN OPINION. WARLIKE FEELING. (Received Nov. 3, 10.5 p.m.) BELGRADE, Nov. 3. At the instance of the advisory Powers Servia officially disclaims bellicose intentions, and hopefully waits the result of the conference, trusting to friendly Powers to plead her cause. Nevertheless, public opinion in Servia is becoming very warlike, and military exercises are everywhere proceeding. Women’s legions are forming at Nis-ch and Kragujevatz. The armsl and ammunition, so long delayed in Austria, reached Belgrade via Turkey.
