The Colonial Sugar Company’s halfyearly report shows net profits of £140,493. A dividend of 10 per cent, was declared, and £36,309 carried forward. The cane cron now being cut is disappointing. HOlV3' frosts havg so reduced the output that the sugar .carried over from last season will bo required for the Commonwealth supply. It is intended to replace the Fiona with a larger steamer of the same nanne, pro Anded with tanks to carry molasses in hulk to meet the groAvhig demands.
