Mails tor the Commonwealth ol Australia, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, also South Africa, Continent of Europe, and United Kingdom, also Canada and Eastern States of United States of America, per Maheno, close at Wellington on Friday, 2nd October, at 2 p.m. Mails for Chatham Islands, per Ripple, close at Lyttelton on Saturday, 3rd October, at 8 p.m. Parcel mail and specially addressed correspondence for United Kingdom, etc., and South America, close 5 p.m. Friday, 9th October/ per lonic. -
