[Press Association.] NAPIER, Oct. 1. The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company cable : The general tone of the frozen meat market is weaker. Veal, mutton, and beef have declined. To-day’s quotations are : Best Canterbury mutton 4d, Napier, Wellington, and North , Island, 3]d, lamb first quality siJd, second old, beef hinds 4d, fores 3ld. ■ WELLINGTON, Oct. 1. A cable from the High Commissioner, dated London, September 30th, states : The wool sales-havo commenced, the attendance 'and competition being satisfactory.
