LICENSES FOR MAORIS.

WELLINGTON, Sept, 15. The Fisheries Bill 1 , which is being introduced by the Hon. Mr. Millar, makes special provision for the issue of fishing licenses to Maoris. It provides thatl the Governor may, from time to time, make regulations for the issue to Maoris of licenses to fish for trout and' perch at -a rate not exceeding five shillings for the whole season. If the holders of such a, license be convicted l of any breach of of the fishing regulations', lids license may be cancelled by the Court and lie shall not be entitled to another license during the remainder of the season.
