LONDON, Sept. 7. Cardinal Moran’s coadjutor, the Archbishops of Hobart and Melbourne and the Bishops of Auckland and Ballarat have arrived- to participate in the Eucharistic Congress. The French Catholics riot being allowed to carry flowers in their own procession, are sending such quantities to strew the route of the procession in the vicinity of Westminster Cathedral next Sunday that a special boat and a special train has been chartered to carry them. Cardinal Vannutelli, the Papal Legate, in an interview published in the “Times,” declares that the Congress as especially important, firstly, because London is the centre of such a great influential empire that it fs likely to attract great numbers from all parts, and, secondly, holding in. 0 Congress in London is direct palpable proof of the system of liberty the British enjoy in exercising their opinions. Hence, tho present Congress. The Cardinal Legate testifies to the Pope’s sympathy and benevolence and admiration of the British nation.
