The Melbourne correspondent to the ‘‘Times,” referring to the American newspapers’ suggestion on the Australians’ distrust of Britain's will or power to protect them against possible hostilities, says: ”1 may say emphatically that I. have heard no such suggestion, even in quarters where it might have been expected.” The writer adds that Britain might bo confident- that there is no feeling of the kind at all.
