It is understood that Mr. AY . It. Robertson, of the Roads'Department, has been appointed to succeed Air. lan Simson as Crown Lands Ranger for this district. Commissioner AlcKie. in command of the Salvation Army in Australasia, who has been in ill-healtli for some time, is recovering. It is likely he will visit New Zealand in the -course of the next few months.
