FATALITY AT INVERCARGILL
BURNED TO DEATH. [Pbess Association.] ' INVERCARGILL, August 31. A four-roomed house at Makarewa, owned by Joseph Fraser, aged 66, was destroyed by fire. Fraser, >an invalid, was burnt to death. His wife and eon .were engaged in milking in a shed one Hundred .yards away, ■and fbe place was In flames when they reached the scene. THE INQUEST. INVERCARGILL, August 31. At an inquest to-day on the b,ody of Joseph Fraser, who was burned to death in his house at Makarewa on Sunday, the jury found that death was due to suffocation and burning, no blame being attachable to anyone.John Russell was commended for his prompt efforts at rescue.
