NAPIER PARK RACING CLUB. [Press Association.] NAPIEIt, August 14. At the annual meeting of the Napier Park Racing Club to-day. the chairman said, tho club had had a most successful year. The balancesheet showed a credit balance of £1290, notwithstanding that they had increased the stakes and effected several improvements to the ground, including the erection of new stables. As showing the growth in popularity of the club, the totalisator returns, excluding fees from bookmakers, increased from £44,234 in 1907 to £46,278 in 1908. The stakes for tho chib’s coming spring meeting amount to £1540, being an increase of £llO as compared with last year’p. TATTERSALL’S SALES. [Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, August 14.
