The balancesheet showed a credit balance of £1290, notwithstanding that they had increased the stakes and effected several improvements to the ground, including the erection of new stables. As showing the growth in popularity of the club, the totalisator returns, excluding fees from bookmakers, increased from £44,234 in 1907 to £46,278 in 1908.
