Israel Zangwill, at a meeting of the Jewish Territorial Organisation entitled “Ito,” announced that a scheme was afoot to settle a large number of Jews upon land in .the Western States of America. .He urged the avoidance of eastern cities. He begged Zionists, whose Palestine scheme was impossible, to join the “Ito” movement. A Marconigram lias been received at Portsmouth that the cruiser Indomitable (with the Prince of Wales aboard) will reach Cowes to-night.
