BUSH-FELLING FATALITY.
AN ELDERLY MAN' KILLED. Information was received early yesterday morning 'by Sergeant Hutton, regarding still another bushfelling fatality, which had occurred the previous evening in the Motn Valley, and by means of which ail elderly man named Frank Kingston lost his life. - It appears that the deceased was engaged in felling a tree, and heinfc unable, for some reason, to get clear wlien tlie tree was coming down, 1 o was struck heavily by the branches and apparently seriously hurt. His mates did all they could for the unfortunate sufferer, hut as night was falling and the track was exceptionally rough, they were unable to convoy him from the camp to Alatnvfair One of their number..-however, came out to Miatawaraiul telephoned to Te Jvarak'a communicating with Constable Doyle, who at once sot out for the scene. 'On his arrival at the men’s camp, in the early hours of yesterday morning, lie found that Kingston was dead. 'The body was brought out to Matawai yesterday and an inquest will lie held there to-day.
