PARIS LABOR TROUBLES.

The police raided tlio French Labor Confederation, and arrested IS prominent labor Annnrchists, whereupon the trade union secretaries appointed a new directing committee, which announced a general 2-1 hours’ strike on Monday ns a protest against the killing of strikers of Thursday. The Government are determined A PRINTERS’ STRIKE. PUBLIC SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT. United Press Association. Copyiughi (Received August 3, 9.50 p.m.) J'ARIS, August 3. Owing to the Compositors’ anil Printers’ Union striking in obedience to the orders of the Labor Confederation, many Paris newspapers are not appearing to-day. Several other trades have struck. The Socialist Committee accuses the Government of the murder of the workers, and the chief organ of the Confederation publishes a cartoon of M. Clemenceairs head on a pike, under the title “L’Assassin-.” There are many wild appeals to ■resort to violence, but the general community urges the Government to vigorously defend law and order.
