A fire originsting in lno kitchen on Sunday afternoon destroyed 'ho eastern part of Norman-livst Court, Lord Rraesey’s Sussex seat. Though many tine works of arr. end treasures collected on .Ho .Sunbeams voyages were saved, many were destroyed. After five h vurs the lire was extinguished. Lord Rrasscy, while directing the operations of the hvonien from the roof, had a narrow escape from ‘falling into the debris.

A large house party assisted to rescue the treasures.
