SYMPATHY FOR TILAK. RIOTS AND STRIKES. ' United Press Association. Copyright CALCUTTA, July 24. The Calcutta cloth and copper bazaars, market, and a majority of the Hindoo shops at Bombay closed out of sympathy with Tila'k. Twenty thousand mill hands have struck. Further riots occurred which the military suppressed,killing and wounding several. MOB RULE.
VOLUNTEERS FIRE ON CROWD.

CALCUTTA, July 25. A mob at Bombay attempted to wreck the Curry road station. They held up the train, stoned a magistrate and the police, whereupon. the volunteers volleyed, killing five and wounding 53.
[Tilak last week was sentenced to (Six years' transportation and fined 1000 rupees for publishing seditious articles, which, the Judge remarked seethed with sedition, preached violence, approved of murders, and approved or the employment of bombs.]
