■LONDON, July 17.
Denison, representing Nottinghamshire on tlie Advisory uommittee, affirms the result of inquiries in Nottinghamshire and several other leading counties, and states that their position was acquiescence of the Marylebone proposals, not approval. Both have been at cross purposes throughout, Marylehono promoting triangular contests under tlie idea it was wise and the strong counties acquiescing in the belief they were obliging Marylebone. One thing was certain, there was practically an unanimous feeling that if only o ue team comes to England in 1909 that team should bo Australian.
[lho resolution of July 3, which occasioned the dispute and which has been so often referred to in the cables, took the form, of a, recommendation of the Advisory Board tlmt the Marylebone Club (which invited the Australian cricketers to visit England in 1909) should inform the Australian Board of Control* “that the counties are 60 strongly in favor ot triangular contests that it will be impossible to invite any colonial eleven to visit England for the 1909 season except for that purpose.”]
