A meeting of leading theatrical managers, including representatives of Messrs J. O. 'Williamson, Herbert Flemming, Meynell and, Gunn, Willoughby and Ward, West's Pictures, and Edwin Geacli, was held to-day as a protest against the Christchurch City Council’s recent by-law regarding the management of theatres. They carried a resolution that the action was arbitrary in the extreme.
