NEW YORK, July 8. Sixteen American battleships, commanded by Admiral Sperry, left San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon for New Zealand. The battleship Nebraska did not accompany tho neet, owing to scarlet fever being aboard. She joins tho fleet at Honolulu when out of quarTho fleet’s auxiliaries preceded tho by a week. After taking iir supplies at Honolulu they will sail for New Zealand,in advance of the fleet.
