ALLEGED BURGLARY. Edward Boniface, who is charged with alleged breaking and entering tlio store of Air. Robert Colebrook, at Waereiiga-a-liika, was remanded for a week, bail being allowed the. accused in £IOO, and two sureties of £SO. THEFT OF BOOTS. John William Jones and Joseph Sunny Moore, who were found guilty last week on a charge of stealing a pair of boots, aikl were remanded for sentence so that tho police could make inquiries into their past records, again appeared before the Bench. Sergeant Hutton said nothing was known against Jones, but Aloore had been convicted of forgery and theft. Aloore asked for leniency on the ground that he had a wife and child to support, and Jones said it was tho first time he had fallen into' temptation., . _ - ■ The Alagistrate reminded both prisoners that they had been convicted of a most impudent theft, and told them they should think of the consequences before they committed crime. Moore was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment- in Napier gaol, and Jones to thirty days’ imprisonment in the Gisborne gaol.
