Herr Dc Jagow, Governor of Danzig, presiding’at a meeting of the German Navy League, said tho Government desired to see tho League consolidated and not dissolved. He wished it to be rendered independent, and not regarded as an appendage of the Minister of Marine. The League passed a resolution to pursue no party policy, but to aim at strengthening the national sentiment. They elected Prince Otto Salmliorstinnr president. General Klun, who early in the year, ''resigned the presidency of the League, declined office. THE LEAGUE CONGRATULATED. Prince Henry of Prussia warmly congratulated the Navy League for placing the Fatherland above private interests, and hoped it would succeed by quiet- united effort- in fully persuading the people of the necessity of strengthening a national work.
