BOWLING.
The following games in connection witli the Gisborne Club’s handicap lours competition were played on tiie Haiti green yesterday afternoon: AVidliams '(sub.), -O’Meara, Corson, ami Hennessey (skip) 21, beat Zacliariali, Burton* (sub.), AV. Pettie, and Eure (skip) 14; J. A, Lucas (sub.), Paltrklge, Hookey, and (Simeon (skip) 21, beat Fordyce (sub.), Pavitt, Harris, and Gaudiu (skip) 19. In tire Colts’ Singles, John Pettie 28 beat H. Miller 13. Both the full rink games were keenly contested, particularly that between Simson and Gaudin. At one time Gaudin led by 13 to 4, but Simson’s tern pulled up, and Hie last half of tho game produced exciting play. Both skips indulged freely in driving, and the dead heads resuiting helped to prolong play so that the last two heads were played in semidarkness. At the 20th head Simson led by 1 point, and at flic 21st ho added one more to this margin. INTER-CLUB GAME. In tiie return bowling match between tiie Turaiiganui and Gisborne Clubs on tiie Turanganwi green this ■afternoon, tiie players will be as previously arranged, except that J. P. Williams takes the place of Gaudin in Martin’s team and Gaudin replaces W. 0. Sheet as a skip, tiie latter being unable to nlay through indisposition. Play will commence at halfpast one.
