Time, 2min 47 4-ssec. (Special to “Times.”) AUCKLAND, June 3. There was a monster crowd at Ellerslie to-day. Tho pretty course looked well in its autumn garb, and tlio ladies in tlieir fineries made everything look particularly gay. It was a beautiful day, and speculative enthusiasm ran high. The great attraction was the big steeples. Loch Fyno. Sol, and Le Beau gave a good exhibition, and finished respectively. Tho only thing which marred this very popular event was the old veteran ’chaser Inniskillen “turning turtle” at the first sod wall; injuring himself so badly that he had to be shot almost immediately afterwards. Young, the rider, had a marvellous escape, getting free with a shaking. Julian received a great ovation when he rode Loch Fyno to victory. Tlieir Excellencies Lord and Lady Plunket were present. Twenty bookmakers were licensed to bet. Results; Flying Hack Handicap: Rungipapa 1, Loehelia 2, Yosami 3. King Post finished third bur could not draw weight, and Yosami received third money.
