To-day being tho forty-third birthday of H.H.H. tho Prince of Wales, a holiday will i:0 held by tho banks, Government, municipal, and post offices throughout the Dominion. In’ Gisborne tho post olfico will bo closed all day, and the mails usually despatched during tho morning will closo at 7 a.m. In tho evening, from 7 to 8 o’clock, letters will be delivered at tin: small wicket in the private box vestibule.' The telegraph office will be open .from 9 a.in. to 1 p.m., anil from 7 p.m. until midnight, ivhilo, tiie telephone will bo available ■an on ordinary days. Business premises will ho open as usual, the usual lurif-holidav being observed to-morrow, Avhcn outdoor games will be psiyed on the Victoria Domain.
