A match in the Handicap Fours of Die Gisborne Club took place at the Knit! green yesterday, with the folk lowing result: Lucas (sub. for Maqi?-i-iill), Pultridge, Hookey, and Sinfeon (ski])) 22 beat J. AV. Pettiit, Redstone, Malcolm, and R. Robertson (skip )21. As tiie scores indicate, (lie match -was. keenly contested. aVt every point was fought for.. Sinufon had a slight lead early in the gaufff but the 18th head found the scores 18 all. On tho next head Robertson scored 3, and at the 20tli head Simson replied with a similar number. The last head was also close, and the winner only secured the odd point necessary to win. The semi-final of the Tiiraiiganui Club’s Handicap Singles, between Gaud in and Nasmith, jnr, takes place this afternoon.
