PROFESSIONALISM. United Press Association—Copyright SYDNEY, May 7. Owing to tho nmatour definition ndoutod by tho conference on sports, delegates of the Cricket Association will havo to notify the Federation of the names of players who receive more than tho allowance provided by the definition. They will be stamped as professionals, cricket boing classified as a game in which amatours and professionals can play together. A curious exception made is in regard to golf, which is treated as an individual game, and thoroforo excluded from teams games; in consequence there cannot bo held an open championship, so the professionals and amateurs cannot meet.
