OBITUARY.

THE HON. RALPH ST. LEGEIt. News was received in Gisborne yesterday that the Hon. Ralph St. Logor. of Tiniroto, who left on March 18th for an extended trip to the Old Country, died while at sea before reaching Colombo oil April 12th. Tho deceased gentleman was tho brother and heir of Viscount Doneraile. The family is an old one, but as tho peerage is Irish, it does not entitle tho holder to a- seat in' the House of Lords. Tho late Mr. .St. Leger was very well known in New Zealand. Ho came to the Dominion about twenty years ago, and woikod, for a time as a cadet on. a station near Wanganui. Later on, he topic up a station on • the Hangaroa nvci, Tiniroto, where lie lived until ho left for Home. Tho deceased gentleman was 40 years of age.
