BONA-FIDES QUESTIONED. POLICE ENQUIRIES. . Press Association. PALMERSTON N., May G. Enquiries have been made from tho police as to the bona-fides of insurance canvassers who are said to be working Palmerston on behalf of a certain office, but some of them are alleged to have represented themselves as working for the A.M.P. and Government Life, taking in industrial insurance 9)d per week from housewives, and asking for three mouths’ premiums in advance. Ladies are asked to insure themselves and their husbands and children.
