WORK. FAVORABLE-COMMENT IN ENGLAND. United Press Association—Copyright LONDON, May 4. The Times, commenting on the ‘Diana” of Bertram Mackennal, the Australian sculptor, says: “It- is so exquisitely reproduced in marble, making it one of the most beautiful nudes the English school lias produced. Mackennal is pretty certain to bo the next Academician sculptor. Parker’s marble ‘Ariadne’ and‘ldeal,’ in bronze, are remarkable statues, showing scholarship and distinction. The Chant rev bequest has purchased ‘Diana.’ and ‘Ariadne.’ ”
