GISBORNE CLUB. Tlio Gisborne Club’s green was well attended by members on Saturday afternoon. Consequent on tlie recent, fine weather the green was in firstclass order, and several interesting friendly games were played. Boulton, T. Clarkson, Johnston and F. Martin (skip) 27 beat Ivyme, Paltridge, Sneddon, and Sinison (skip) 16; Wilson, Zachariah, J. H. Martin, and Pousford (skip) beat Collins, Birss, Munroc, and Witty IG. TU'IIAXGANUd GREEN. The above green was- also in good order for playing, and the large number of members present indulged in some useful practico games.
THE DOMINION TEAM. Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 3. The Dominion team of bowlers arrived here to-day by the IV iunnera after a splendid passage -from Sydney. The uartv are in splendid health .andspeak .li-ighly _ of the iliospitablo treatment received in the Commonwealth. The team plays Auckland “reps” to-morrow and on Tuesday meet the Auckland team which toured Australia recently. They leave for South via East- Coast on Tuesday evening. It is expected that tho. team .which has recently represented the Dominion -with such signal success will arrive in Gisborne on Wednesday en -route (to the -South. If time permits an endeavor will bo made to take tho visitors to the, -Gisborne Club’s green.% In any ease local bowlers are looking forward to the opportunity to meet the crack players ’of the Dominion.
