A MOTION OF REGRET, TRAMWAY BOARD’S TRIBUTE. Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, May 2. The following motion relative to the death of the late Mr. G. G. Stead was passed at last night’s meeting of the Christchurch Tramway Board: — “That this Board wishes to place on its minutes its sincere regret that Mr. Geo. G. Stead had been cut off in tho midst of his career whilst still at tlio head of many important enterprises, and that wo reconi our appreciation of tho good work done by him whilst on the Board of the Christchurch Tramways, and of the great assistance his wide experience. was in tho promotion of tho system.”
