man RUN over by train. no HOPE OF RECOVERY. Pross Association. WANGANUI, April 30. A shocking accident occurred at tho railway station to-night as the 9 o’clock train was drawing into tho station. A man named Albert .Benefield, aged 30, and married, who owns a fruiterer’s shop in tho Avenue, fell betwen two carriages. liis left arm was cut off nbovo tho elbow, and his left leg was mangled below tho knee. Tho unfortunate man was dragged about seventeen yards, and his injured liimbs were horribly mutilated. His head was also injured, and the doctor 'holds out no hope of recovery.
