BATTALION PARADE. A of the Gisborne Rifles ami was held in the Dx ill Hall last evening, Captain Beere. There were men and boys present to form four , . companies, and they were put. 'N chrougli battalion drill. The battalion leaves for the Easter camp at •Johnsonviile on Wednesday. GISBORNE RIFLES. The following company orders for 1 the encampment have been issued by Captain Beere: —The company will parade in full marching order at- theY'-'p: Drill Shed at 7.20 p.m. on Wednea- sr : day, loth April, 1903, for the purpose oiiMi of embarking to take part in the Eas- . ter manoeuvres. Service uniform, |g| with felt hats and leggings. Oil- . , skins or overcoats to be rolled or :jr4i worn on the left shoulder, water- ‘V;:--bottle under the right arm, .haversack on the right shoulder,.^..u.ndet,_4W' : ; m waist belt and above the bayonet. Haversacks, kit bags, water-bottles, f'C l plates, mugs, and leggings will be issued by the Q.M.S. on Mouday, 13th inst., at 8 p.m. The haversack is to contain the S-p following : —Plate, mug, knife, fork, spoon, toilet requisites, towel, and service cap. The kit bag is to- contain -Water- TSTf proof sheet, blankets, change of nnderclothfs, extra pair of socks and :|'4 boots, cleaning gear for rifles and}£Aj boots. • 'ljSf The kit bag must be at the Drill £; Shed not later than 7.15 p.m. on the bi! loth ins-:.
