PLUMBERS’ EXAMINATIONS.
SOME REFORMS REQUIRED.
DEPUTATION TO DR. MASON. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 4. Dr Alason, Chief Health Officer, received a deputation of working plumbers who pointed out to lam that under the existing regulations plumbers who passed in one big centre oi New Zealand wero obliged to pass an examination in another centre n thev wished to work there, that some central examining body should be constituted so that uniform ceitificates could bo granted tor use all over the dominion and that t ie Health Department should be the chief factor in that body. Dr Mason referred to measures on this subject which had been brought down, and ho agreed with the deputation that there should be a national system for examination ol plumbers.
