STAMPEDE OF CABS.
TWO LADIES INJURED.
(Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., April o. Owing to a stampede ol; several cabs and buggies at the railway station on arrival ot tbo Wellington train at 7.110 p.m. yesterday, Airs. Gordon Reid, of Wellington,, was injured. Miss Martini Jones, ol New Plymouth, bad ribs on both sides broken, and one penetrating the Jungs, her condition is serious. Airs. Item, however, will recover unmarked, tliomdi her teeth were driven through her lower lip by n blow ol some sort, and she is much bruised. The wound in the tip was successfully sown up. Mr and Miss Gordon Held were in one of the cabs, hut as it was bolting near the railway station where an on«rjno was approaching they jumped out. .
