It was resolved that the Union, being in favor of conciliation and arbitration as a means of settling industrial disputes, cannot see its way to support .the Blackball miners in their defiance of tlie law. MR. HICKEY IN AUCKLAND. ATTACKS WELLINGTON PRESS. AUCKLAND, April 1. Air. Hickey, the miners’ delegate from Blackball, addressed tho Trades ami Labor Council to-night, placing the men’s case before them. He -attacked the AYellington press, and said their accounts were most partial, and they had made a most bitter and unjust attack on the union.
