. '. THE INQUEST, Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 1. Circumstances surrounding t-lie death of Sidney Cadle, stock auctioneer for Dalgety and Co., who succumbed to injuries received by being run over -by a tramway locomotive last night, were investigated at the inquest this afternoon. AVilliam Dick, tram inspector, stated that he saw deceased "run in front of , the ap-, proaehing engine, about ten yards away. He shouted, but deceased did not -appear to take any notice. Other witnesses said that deceased, when crossing, seemed to change his mind and hesitate, and was knocked down. The tram was pulling up at the time. A verdict of accidental death was returned. An inquest was held touching the death of John Templeton, who was killed by-being run over by a gig on Oxford Terrace on -Monday. Contradictory evidence was given relative to the position of the gig at the time of the accident. A verdict was returned that Templeton met liis -death from injuries, the resullt of being run over by a gig driven on the wrong side of the road. A rider was added that Whitlirock, the driver of the gig, when in that position, did all lie could to avert the accident.
