WELLINGTON, March3l. ' Twenty officers of the Land and Sur vev Department will be retired on June 30th on superannuation, having reached the age of 65. Included in the names arc the following: J. E. March, superintendent of village settlements ; Llewellyn Smith, chief draughtsman, Wellington; Hon. G. F. Richardson, draughtsman and computer ; William R. B. Shanks, chief draughtsman, Christchurch; G. A. edin; W. H. Williams, Crown lands ranger, South Canterbury ;G. McKenzie, Crown lands ranger, Otago; I). Campbell, Crown lands ranger, Southland-; W. Barron, Crown lands ranger Taranaki.
