Press Association. HASTINGS, March 27. The growth of feed subsequent to the recent rain has had the effect of easing off work at the freezing works, as sheep are not rushed in now. In some works as many as thirty hands are being dispensed with. NAPIER, March 27. The bad weather experienced hero during the whole time of the carnival gave way to-day to ono of flip most perfect days such as are usually enjoyed here at this season of tho year.
