Representatives of the three coastal companies waited on the Premier, and stated that they were finable to carry on business because mob rule prevailed round tho wharves. They hoped the Premier would be able to place the dispute before a competent tribunal for settlement. The Premier promised to do all ho could. . , , ~ The strikers actively picket the wharves to prevent non-unionists from working, and tho police force has been strengthened at troublous points. _____
