WOMEN LEGISLATORS.
A PROPHECY FROAI AUCKLAND
Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 11. At a welcome tendered this afternoon to tho delegates of the W.C.T'.‘U. nmv visiting Auckland, Airs. Cole, the New Zealand President, confidently prophesied that there would be women legislators in the not far distant future;, “and when we have them,” she added, “many will be far more capable than some of the men now in the House.” Airs. Cole went on to refer t-o the humor of the situation when the Infant Life Protection Bill was before the House. “They do the best they'"can, poor things,” she said, “and if they won’t let us help them inside Parliament, wo must do the best- we can outside.”
