THURSDAY TEAMS
A lurgelv-attcnded meeting . was held in Dustin’s rooms last night for tho purpose of considering the formation of a Thursday Football Association under the auspices of the Poverty Bay Rugby Union. ' Air. 4Vilkiiison proposed that the district scheme be adopted, but an amendment that the trades team scheme be adhered to, was carried. A committee, consisting of Messrs AVilkinson, Puflett-, Ansell,. and Osborne, was appointed to discuss the matter at a meeting to be arranged with the Rugby Union. Air. Ansell was appointed secretary pro tern. The question of Saturday men playing on Thursdays was discussed, the opinion being expressed that they would be liable to disqualification by tlie Rugby Union. The eoiiimittee will find out how many teams "ill be available, and "ill meet again next Tuesday.
